Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has revealed he has long broken up with television and radio.
He noted that some stories from the media confuse him about himself and his decision is meant to give him sanity.
“I don’t listen to the radio, I don’t watch television. Because I have too much in my hands and I don’t want to hear people talking about me in a way that I don’t know myself to be” he said as quoted by Opemsuo Radio.
“There are a lot of rumours all over that, sometimes I wake up and ask myself, ‘am I Nana Yaw Amponsah?’ Sometimes they say Kotoko management has taken a certain decision and I ask myself, ‘am I in this management, are people doing things behind my back?’”
Nana Yaw Amponsah told Nana Aba Anamoah that listening to the media and other people will sway him from his focus and the club’s agenda. According to him, the club has its way of receiving feedback from the masses.
“We have our mechanisms. If you want to listen to all and sundry and do according to their will, you may not reach your destination. We have a set target and we hit our set target to make sure that we deliver. Of course, we won’t get everything right, but I think I get most things right”, he noted.
