Nana Gyembibi Coker a former Sepcial Assistant to current Kotoko board chairman Kwame Kyei has downplayed the relevance of the VEO technology brought to the club by the Nana Yaw Amponsah-led management.
The one time General Manager of the Porcupine Warriors went ahead to describe the initiative as “useless” during an interview with Kumasi-based Ash FM on Wednesday.
“The VEO is useless.” he said.
“What is the importance of the VEO. Can you tell me” he quizzed.
“We heard a lot of noise about it on radio for a while and since that time we have not heard anything about it again. By the way this is something for the technical team to use and so you do not have to even make such noise about it like they did” Coker added.
“Video is an essential part in talent development all around the world and bringing in the best for our club is a must” Nana Yaw was quoted on the website of Veo.
Nana Yaw Amponsah continued, “With Veo, Asante Kotoko teams get access to both great quality video and a cutting edge analysis platform”.
The VEO technology allows Kotoko to video record their live games and are able to access the videos immediately at half time for purpose of analysis and was the subject of controversy between Kotoko and the Ghana Football Association at the start of last season.
