Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Umar Bashriu, has revealed that he couldn’t succeed at the club because of too ‘pressure’.
The former WAFA star who joined Karela United prior to the season was handed a starting berth by coach Evans Adortey and was adjudged the Man of the Match in their 2-2 away draw against AshantiGold SC at the Len Clay Stadium.
Speaking after the game, Umar said ” I think this is a good result for us,”. I think the pressure at Kotoko was too much and the club was very demanding.
”We had good players in the team competing for playing time but I think I did my best.
”We this result, I think it will help us prepare for the rest of our games and ensure we finish in the top four at the end of the season.
