Medeama SC defender Daniel Egyin, believes there is absolutely no need for players in the Ghana Premier league to accept pay cut in the difficult moment of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to him, argues that the players in the who play in the Ghanaian league are not in the first place paid well and would therefore, be unwise for club others in the country to call for any pay cut.
There is no need for footballers to accept pay cut in Ghana at this difficult moment, this is rather the time for the club owners to increase salaries for players,” he told Spice FM.
”The players are no more entitled to receiving wining bonuses due to the covid-19, we are paying electricity bills now, it is not easy taking care of our family members at these difficult times,”.
He however, urged club owners about providing additional allowances for the players who have struggled to survive financially in the wake of the deadly cornavirus.
