Thomas Partey overcame an injury on international duty to feature in Arsenal’s Premier League win over Leeds United on Saturday.
The midfielder missed Ghana’s game against Angola in Luanda as a result of a “small injury”, according head coach Chris Hughton.
Partey was involved in Arsenal’s training earlier this weekend after returning to London ahead of the game against Leeds.
The Ghanaian was also named in the starting lineup to face the Peacocks and played just 60 minutes with Mikel Arteta not taking any chances with him.
Partey left the pitch with the score at 3-0 after Gabriel Jesus (brace) and Ben White’s strikes.
The Gunners went ahead to win 4-1 with Granit Xhaka adding another goal late in the game.
Arsenal face Liverpool in their next game next weekend looking to keep their lead at the top of the league intact.
