Kurt Simeon Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association has congratulated the Black Satellites for their qualification to the quarter-final stage of the 2021 Total U-20 Cup of Nations tournament being hosted by Mauritania.

Ghana despite losing 2-1 to Gambia on Tuesday evening still booked qualification to the quarterfinal as the third-best team with 4 points alongside Morocco who topped group C with 7 points.

They face Morocco on Thursday 25th February, 2021 for semifinal berth.

”Congratulations to our satellites for making it to the next stage of the tournament…Certainly a difficult day in the office but hey, Cameroon is next… Lets get it done for our dear Country…Its possible!,” the FA chief wrote on Facebook.
Ghana, three-time winners of the U-20 AFCON, started the tournament with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Tanzania and drew goalless against Morocco in the second group game before losing 2-1 to Gambia in the final group C game.
