Senegalase duo Papiss Demba Cisse and Demba Ba have scored combined 33 goals in the Turkish Super Lig this season. 22 for Cisse who is the league’s leading goalscorer and 11 to the name of Ba. Both African strikers are 35 years old that are headlining the league and considering their age they have earned lot of respect.
But how does Ghana’s Patrick Twumasi compare to the former Newcastle United duo in the same league?
The Ghanaian right winger of Gazişehir Gaziantep on loan from Alavés has scored 6 goals and made 4 assists this season for his club but 26-year old forward is far from the best strikers of the league.
After appearing in 11 La Liga games and scoring zero goals for Alaves in the 2018/19 season Twumasi was sent on loan in a lesser league and there he was supposed to grab more headlines but the forward has not had an ideal campaign in Turkey even though he is the second top-scorer for his side in the competition after Nigeria’s Olarenwaju Kayode who has 10 goals and 6 assist for Gaziantep.
