Two Ghanaian youngsters, Caleb Yirenkyi and Abdul Moro, have been ranked among the most technically gifted U21 midfielders across 50 leagues worldwide, according to new data released by SkillCorner.
Caleb Yirenkyi earned global recognition after placing second overall with an impressive 87.5% ball retention rate under high pressure, trailing only Turkey’s Arda Güler, who topped the list with 89%. Ecuador’s Johan Moreno came third with 85.7%.
The data highlights Yirenkyi’s exceptional composure, control, and ability to keep possession even when surrounded by opponents — a skill that makes him one of the most promising young midfielders on the international scene.
Another Ghanaian, Moro, also featured on the list alongside some of football’s brightest young names like Zaire-Emery of France and Castaneda of the USA, proving Ghana’s growing influence in global football talent development.
