Asante Kotoko star Emmanuel Gyamfi was adjudged Man of the Match following his thunderous performance in the Porcupine Warriors victory over Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs on Thursday afternoon.
Gyamfi’s brace was enough to give Mariano Barreto’s side an important victory over the Cape Coast based club.
Dennis Korsah shot the visitors ahead in the first half after 24 minutes with a sumptuous free kick.
Five minutes later, Gyamfi restored parity for Kotoko, ending the first half one apiece.
Back from recess, Kotoko started mounting pressure on Dwarfs and deservedly got a 2-1 lead in the 50th minute through winger Emmanuel Gyamfi as he completed his double in the game.
The victory means that Asante Kotoko have opened a four points gap at the top of the league table before Great Olympics take on Aduana Stars FC at 6pm tonight.
