The Ghana U-15 national team has returned home after a triumphant outing at the 2025 Mondialito tournament in Israel, where they were crowned champions with a 4-1 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the final.
Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, confirmed their safe arrival and emphasized the FA’s commitment to nurturing the players’ growth.
“We thank God they are here they arrived at dawn they are in Ghana now the u-15 boys are one of the new national teams we decided to form. If you are doing training you have to play a game because they have trained for a long time so we decided that if an opportunity has come in Israel despite the chaos between Israel and Palestine we will take that opportunity,” he told Peace FM as quoted by by Ghanasoccernet.com
“So we allowed them to go from the 5th to the 7th of this month and they participated in this tournament. Thank God they won all their games and the final match too they won and clinched the trophy so they are here. It doesn’t end here we will keep on because these are the ones who will graduate to the u-16 and into the the Black Starlets.
“We have decided to keep them and as we keep them some will be joining them so that we will strengthen the team,”
The team was warmly received at the airport by key officials including Greater Accra RFA Chairman Samuel Aboabire, Juvenile Committee Vice Chairman Joe Abu Salam, and member Michael Fiaduse.
The FA plans to continue building the squad for future national levels.
