The Black starlets have been pitted against the host India,USA and Columbia in Group A of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
The Black starlets were among 24 teams divided into four groups of four at the event held at the Sahara Star Hotel Mumbai on Friday.
Ghana are set to face off against familiar opponent USA , young talented south American opponent Colombia and India for the first time at the world cup stage .
In attendance were dignitaries including former U-17 World Cup champion Nwankwo Kanu and Argentinian legend Esteban Cambiasso set to be joined by Indian national team hero Sunil Chhetri and Indian badminton star Pusarla Venkata Sindhu.
India will play all their group stage matches in Delhi, with the first match against the USA set to be staged at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 6th.
The Colts’ second group match against Colombia is on 9th October in Delhi, while their final group game is on 12th October against Ghana.
India have to finish in the top two of their group to advance past the group stage. They could also progress past group play by being among the best four third-placed teams in the six groups.
