The Ghana Under 20 team is scheduled to leave Ghana on Friday, 12th February, for the upcoming U-20 Africa Cup of Nation which starts on February 14 in Mauritania.
Ghana will play its first game against Tanzania on Tuesday, February 16. The Black Satellite won the WAFU Zone B tournament last year in Togo which earned them the slot to participate at this year’s African youth tournament.
Black Satellite Coach, Karim Zito is optimistic that his team will replicate the success by winning the U-20 Afcon title for the first time in 12 years.
“We are representing West Africa, for that matter Ghana. Since we qualified and even won the WAFU Zone B cup, it means we are one of the best at the tournament,’’ He Told Starr Sports
‘’My target is to win the ultimate and I am not saying this for saying sake. We have prepared very well for the tournament. I told the guys to go and win the cup since we are not going to the world cup now due to the Covid-19.”
