Ghanaian youngster Edmund Addo played full throttle for his team as they stunned record Champions League winners Real Madrid FC away from home.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian box-to-box midfielder saw 90 minutes of football against the European giant on Tuesday evening at the Santiago Bernabau stadium in their second group stage match.
Addo, who was snubbed by Ghana for their upcoming Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe helped his team to secure a historic win over the White Angels.
The visitors scored early in the second half but Addo’s foul on Vinicius Jnr inside the box resulted into a spot kick which was deliciously converted by captain Karim Benzema in the second half.
On the 90th minute mark, Luxembourg international Sébastien Thill score a scorcher for the away team to beat Madrid at the Santiago Bernabau stadium to pick their second win in two games with a 2-1 score line.
Addo and his team from Moldova are now top of the table after two games with six points with a hundred percent winning record in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League competition.
