Dutch-born Ghanaian teen sensation Brian Brobbey fired Ajax Amsterman to an incredible 2-1 away win over French side Lille in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Timothy Weah shot the French side ahead in the 72nd minute after a goalless thrilling first half before Dusan Tadic pulled parity for the visitors in the 87th minute from the spot.
With the game almost ending one apiece, Brobbey struck in the 89th minute to seal a vital 2-1 away win for the Dutch giants.
Brobbey, 18, had come on in the 73rd minute to replace David Neres and quickly made his presence felt greatly after grabbing the match-winner for Ajax.
The budding striker who is eligible to play for the Black Stars could leave Ajax this summer after failing to renew his contract with the club.
German giants Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Italian side AC Milan and Barcelona are all reported to be interested in the service of the young striker according to his agent Carmine “Mino” Raiola.
