Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey’s Arsenal FC will play Greek giants Olympiacos FC in the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League in the round of 16 games.
The Ghanaian international returned from injury to help his side secure qualification into the round of 16 games with a win over Benfica FC from Portugal.
Last season at the round of 32 stage of the competition, the Gunners suffered elimination from the competition in the hands of the Greece side on the away goals rule after winning by a lone goal away and losing 1-2 at home.
The two teams will square off again this season in the same competition but this time at a different as both look to make it into the quarter-final stage.
On the 11th of March 2021, the Gunners will face Olympiacos in the first leg in Greece before honoring the second leg in England on the 18th of March, that’s a week after the first leg.
The English team would be hoping to get the better of their opponents this time around after their painful elimination last season.
Partey, who was at Atletico Madrid last season would have to be at his maximum best to be able to help his side secure qualification into the next round of the competition when the two teams meet in next month.
