Hearts of Oak took their invincibility to eleven games across all competitions after beating rivals Asante Kotoko by 1-0 on Sunday during Week 31 of the Ghana Premier League as Afriyie Barnie scored the only goal.
Barnie struck in the 66th minute to win the close game for his team as the Phobians take a three-point lead at the summit of the league table.
Hearts of Oak are now unbeaten in their last 11 games of all events. 10 wins and a draw and that drawn game came against city rivals Great Olympics – a game the Phobians have since protested against the use of an unqualified player by the opponents.
King Faisal, Bechem United, Elmina Sharks, Berekum Chelsea, Medeama, Legon Cities have all been victims of Hearts of Oak during their best period of the league season.
