Vancouver Whitecaps FC Sporting Director Axel Schuster has expressed his excitement over the addition of American forward Emmanuel Sabbi to the squad.
Schuster believes the experienced attacker will bring valuable quality to the team and enhance their offensive options. “Emmanuel is an experienced attacking player who has played in one of the best leagues in the world. He’ll add another dimension to our attack, and he is capable of playing on either wing or up top. We’re excited to welcome Emmanuel to our club,” he stated on the club’s official website.
Sabbi, an Italian-born forward of Ghanaian heritage, completed his transfer to Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Tuesday, February 11. He joined the MLS side from French Ligue 1 club Le Havre AC.
According to the club’s announcement, the 27-year-old has signed a contract that runs through 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year until 2028.
