Veteran Ghanaian boxer Charles “The Crusader” Adamu, will return to the ring on Saturday, June 17, to take on Erik Nazaryan in a Light Heavyweight contest in Belgium.
The 39-year old who has been away from the boxing lime light for close to five years, is expected to use the fight to revive his career.
With a record of 28 wins and nine losses without a draw, the Ghanaian is keen on bringing back his career on the right path, having previously been touted as one of the country’s most promising fighters.
The former bronze medalist at the Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games and Sydney Olympic Games participant is expected to use the fight to boost his chances of landing more high profile boxing bouts.
Adamu’s opponent, Nazaryan is also a veteran in the sports and at 37-years, he comes into the fight with a record 21 victories and 17 losses without a draw.
He is expected to provide a stiff opposition to the Ghanaian in a fight that will see progress in their respective rankings.
