Ghana’s captain Andre Ayew’s thunderous second goal against Sudan last Thursday at the Cape Coast Stadium has been shortlisted by CAF as one of the best goals scored in the third round of the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Swansea City star captained the Black Stars to beat Sudan in matchday 3 of the qualifiers with both goals coming from him.
Ayew netted a brilliant freekick in the first half before extending his side’s lead to 2-0 with a thunderous striker which was assisted by Amiens midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey.
The continent’s football governing body at the end of the matchday 3 and 4 of the qualifiers picked Ayew’s second goal as one of the best goals scored.
Ayew’s goal was picked alongside Algerian captain Riyard Mahrez, Knowledge Musonda and Ibrahim Amada.
