Ghanaian forward Patrick Twamsi has expressed his gratitude to join German side Hanover 96 in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old attacking player signed a contract with the German club from Spanish Laliga club Deportivo Alaves until 2023 on Friday afternoon.
“I’m really happy to be here. I’ve always dreamed of playing in Germany and I’m happy to be part of Hannover 96 now,” said Twumasi after signing his three-year deal.
In the 2019/20 season, Twumasi was loaned to the Turkish first division club Gaziantep FK, and in the Süper Lig he was the second top scorer of his team with six goals and five assists.
Twumasi played a total of eleven games for Deportivo Alaves in the 2018/19 season – mostly as a right-winger.
The pacy forward moved from his mother club Red Bull in Ghana in 2012.
Twumasi joined Latvian club FK Spartaks J? Rmala and in Russia for Amkar Perm in the Premier League before later joining Kazakhstan outfit FC Astana where he won five championship titles.
At Astana, he bagged 45 goals and 19 assists in 107 Premier League matches and also played in the Champions League (twice) and Europa League (14 times).
He has been capped twice by Ghana’s senior national team- Black Stars.
