Ghanaian defender Lamine Moro scored the solitary goal as Young Africans (Yanga SC) defeated Mbeya City 1-0 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in a Tanzanian Mainland Premier League game on Sunday.
The Ghanaian left-back headed past a resilient Mbeya City back four deep inside the second half to grab all three points for his side.
The game was a must-win for Yanga after they drew their first match with Tanzanian Prisons and they responded with a victory.
Fellow Ghanaian Michael Sarpong also had an excellent outing but was unlucky not to have gotten on the scoresheet.
The win now sees Yanga having the same points as bitter rivals Simba SC.
