Ghanaian forward Ezekiel Alladoh scored for Philadelphia Union on his competitive debut when the MLS side walloped Defence Force FC in the Concacaf Cup on Thursday morning.
The former Accra Lions striker was handed his first start in his first official game for the club since his winter move from IF Brommapojkarna, and the 20-year-old announced himself to Union fans with a powerful header in the 5-0 victory in Trinidad and Tobago.
The American club got off to a flying start after Milan Iloski opened the scoring in the 29th minute before the Ghanaian added the second three minutes later.
After the break, Olwethu Makhanya added Union’s third with a strong header moments after the hour mark.
Bruno Damiani sealed victory for the MLS side with a later brace.
Alladoh, a prolific scorer, is expected to play a huge role in Philadelphia Union’s season following his record-breaking move to the Major League Soccer.
The highly-rated forward will make his MLS debut for Philadelphia Union when there travel to Washington to face DC United on Saturday, February 21.
