Greek giants PAOK have officially unveiled Ghana left-back Abdul Baba Rahman who has joined them on loan from Chelsea until the end of the 2020/21 football season.
The talented left-back is joining the Greek giants on a five-month loan deal from English Premier League side Chelsea after as he seeks to get back to his best form again.
The enterprising lateral defender has been battling injuries in recent years but he is now fit again and PAOK offers him the best platform to shine.
Baba Raham joined Chelsea in 2015 for 14 million euros . He signed a five-year contract with the Blues and in the 2015-16 season he played 23 times, earning a place in the starting lineup, despite the competition for places.
The next season he went out on loan to Schalke. A return to the Bundesliga was what he needed, but misfortune would knock on his door for the first time. He managed to play in 19 games, scoring once and providing two assists, before suffering a knee injury and missing the rest of the season. He returned in the 2017-18 season and stayed with the Royal Blues for another six months before moving to France with Reims.
At Reims, he found some rhythm, playing in 11 games, scoring once and assisting on another goal. He returned to London, but then he was loaned out again to Mallorca, who had just been promoted to La Liga. A knee injury did not allow him to get much playing time, and so he returned to England in order to fully recover and return to action.
Baba was linked to various championship clubs including Middlesbrough and Norwich City before moving to Greece.
Baba made his debut with the Ghana national team in 2014 and is a regular squad member to date, counting 30 appearances and six assists, and being a finalist in the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
