Dutch-born striker of Ghanaian descent, Brian Brobbey says he is trying and doing his best for Dutch giants before his departure hopefully this summer.
The youngster’s agent Mino Raiola has made it clear to Ajax that his client will not be playing anymore for the Dutch giants when his current contract expires this summer despite the club pushing for a contract extension.
The Ghanaian striker grabbed a late goal for Ajax as they defeated Young Boys from Switzerland 3-0 in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday night at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
Ajax welcomed the Swiss Super League side to the Johan Cruijff Arena for the first leg of the Round 16 tie of the European competition.
Despite Brobbey coming on late in the 83rd minute to replace David Neres, he managed to find his name on the scoresheet after 90-1 in the game.
“I’m trying and doing my best for Ajax. Thats what I should do, right? My relationship with the players is great. Playing abroad? Not thinking about this at the moment, focusing on Ajax right now.” Brobbey told ESPN after the game.
Davy Klaassen and Dusan Tadic scored respectively to give Ajax a 2-0 lead before Brobbey added one to seal an emphatic 3-0 first-leg victory for the Dutch giants.
Brobbey has so far scored two goals in three appearances in the Uefa Europa League this season for Ajax.
