Newly signed Red Star Belgrade defender Rashid Sumaila says helping the white and red side achieve ‘great history’ remains his priority after sealing a season-long loan deal with them from Kuwaiti club Qadsia Sporting Club.
The hardworking defender believes he has joined the right club in his quest to become a better player.
He indicated in his first interview that he chose to join the Serbian SuperLiga champions who have ‘rich history’ to enable him improve as a player.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs defender passed his medical in Belgrade on Wednesday and signed a one year deal with them.
”I am here to help the team to achieve what they want to achieve, and I think here is a very good club it will help me also to improve and I am here to give all my best for them” Said Rashid in his first interview.
‘’I will not talk too much, I want all my talking to be on the field, I will work very hard always to make the fans happy.’’
‘’They have very good fans, they support a lot and also the club have good history they’ve taken champions league before and also I watched them play in Europa league and they did very well’’.
‘’ I am really happy to be here I want to be part of the club and I am here already I am also a winner, I always want to win I don’t like defeat so I will help them so that together we can achieve what we want to achieve’’
