Legon Cities head coach, Bashir Hayford has Praised his players after their 5-2 drubbing of AshantiGold on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Royals rallied from behind twice to pick their second win in this campaign in a match-day 10 encounter against the Miners.
Legon Cities recorded their highest win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and first time scoring more than one goal in a game.
An elated Bashir Hayford speaking after the game said his attackers are beginning to learn to get good results despite having a difficult start to the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
“We played without a striker. I have converted the midfielders to strike for me and they are doing it very well. When we started, it was not working but now it is working.” He said in a post-match interview.
“It means they are learning. Because I told them that goal scoring is not about a striker, goal scoring is about the one who is closer to the post. Immediately you come closer to the post, whether you are a defender or not you have to score. That is what we have been doing at the training ground.” He added
