Waasland-Beveren’s two-goal hero Nana Opoku Ampomah has lamented the mistakes which cost his side a 3-2 defeat at Genk on Sunday.
The Ghana international drew his side level in the 66th minute and gave them a 2-1 lead but four minutes later Mbwana Samatta equalized for Genk.
And when all thought the match was heading for a draw, Genk snatched the winner in the 89th-minute own goal from Maximiliano Caufriez
‘‘The goals are not important, we lost the points which are more painful. At a moment we thought we had won the game, we lost concentration and the game went against us which is very painful,” he told the club’s TV channel.
”We have to work hard and not to concede goals like these, so we will see towards the next game.
”We always have to work hard. We have to learn from our mistakes from last season and work towards the game.
”So I think we will do everything possible to get to the higher point.”
