Prince Osei Owusu continued his fine form with a goal and a commanding presence as CF Montreal secured a thrilling 3-1 away win over New England Revolution in Round 25 of Major League Soccer.
Owusu, who started and played the full 90 minutes, equalized in the 9th minute with a powerful left-footed shot after Chancalay had put the hosts ahead early. The German-Ghanaian striker was a handful throughout, winning eight duels, the most by any player, while also hitting the post once and taking three shots in total.
Despite losing 15 duels, Owusu’s energy and hold-up play gave Montréal the edge in attack. He now has 11 goals in 25 MLS matches this season.
Dante Sealy and Olger Escobar added goals to complete the comeback in front of 17,992 fans at Gillette Stadium. Montreal’s clinical finishing made up for their limited possession (38%) and shots (11) compared to New England’s 62% control and 19 efforts.
