Ghana’s winger, Joseph Paintsil scored his fifth league goal of the season for MKE Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday afternoon at home.
The former Tema Youth player netted his team’s second goal in their 3-1 home win over Afriyie Acquah’s Yeni Malatyaspor to move to 17th place on the league with 15 points from 15 matches.
Daniel Lukasik’s goal on the 4th minute mark from the center of the box into roof of the net with his right foot gave the Blue and Yellows an early lead in the first half of the match.
After 35 minutes played, Ankaragucu were awarded a penalty which was beautifully converted by the Ghanaian international winger into the bottom right corner to put the hosts in a two goals lead.
After the break the game was a balanced one until after 70 minutes when the away side started playing some nice game which resulted in grabbing a consolation goal through Youssouf Ndayishimiye on the 76th to make it 2-1 with less than quarter of an hour left on the clock.
Torgeir Borven restored Ankaragucu’s two goals on the 88th minute of matche as it finished 3-1 to the hosts.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward on loan from Belgium side KRC Genk has scored five goals in eleven matches in the Turkish Super Lig.
