Ghanaian forward, Abdul Majeed Waris broke his goal drought in the French Ligue 1 on Wednesday evening against Nîmes at home.
The 29-year-old former FC Porto man came from bench to score in his team’s thumping victory in the French top-flight to grab his first goal of the season.
Strasbourg took a three goals advantage into the break after a purposeful and a blistering start to the and deservedly got their reward for their performance.
The Ghanaian’s team took a 4-0 lead after 51 minutes played on the clock before his introduction in the 73rd minute of the match.
Waris after coming on converted a 90th-minute spot-kick to break his goal drought to register his first French Ligue 1 goal this campaign in eleven games.
