Ghanaian international defender, Daniel Amartey scored a late winner for Champions League chasers, Leicester City FC away to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday evening.
The Ghanaian’s goal was his first of the season for the Blue and Whites as they came from behind to pick three valuable points on the road in their quest to finish in the top four at the end of the season to secure a Champions League berth.
Former Liverpool man, Adam Lallana gave Brighton and Hove Albion the lead after just ten minutes when he was exquisitely set up by Neal Maupay to brilliantly finish to make it 1-0.
After 62 minutes of action, Youri Tielemans slid a defense breaking pass through to Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho who scored a beauty to make it 1-1 with 28 minutes to go.
Three minutes from full time, Marc Albrighton swung in a corner kick and was connected into the roof of the net by Ghana’s Amartey to win it for Leicester City at the end of the game.
Despite unfortunate injuries hits, the 26-year-old Ghanaian Center-back has played ten times in the English Premier League this season with a goal to his name.
