Ghana defender Daniel Opare produced a delicious assist for Zulte Waregem in their 3-1 defeat to Nana Ampomah’s Royal Antwerp FC on Sunday in the Belgian Pro-League.
The former Real Madrid man provided an early assist to set up teammate Jean-Luc Dompe to give the host a first half lead.
After the recess, the host collapsed as the visitors piled an enormous amount of pressure on them in search of goals during the early exchanges of the second half.
Faris Haroun equalised in the 57th minutes before Martin Hongla scored in the 64th minutes to turn the game around for the away team.
Cristian Benavente put the icing on the cake on the 90th minute for a determined Antwerp side who came back from a goal down to snatch a 3-1 on the road.
Despite Zulte’s defeat, Opare was a delight to watch as he gave 31 accurate passes out of the attempted 36 and created two chances along with one assist in the game.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian defender lasted the entire duration of the match was constantly on the attack from defense for his team.
Opare has two assist this season in the Belgium Pro League.
