Ghanaian forward Kwame Opoku scored his second league goal for USM Alger in the Algeria Ligue 1 on Thursday evening against CA Bordj Bou Arreridj.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC hitman scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up just 17 minutes after Kickoff with a beautiful strike.
Opoku received a through pass over the top of the away team’s defense and controlled the ball excellently with his chest before blasting the ball past the goalkeeper from inside the goal area.
The Red and Blacks went on to beat their opponents by a 3-1 scoreline to move on the league table with 45 points and a game in hand.
In all competitions, the 22-year-old Ghanaian international striker has bagged three goals for USM since he joined in March from Ghana giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC.
Opoku now has two goals for the Red and Blacks this campaign in the Algeria top-flight league.
