Ghanaian Center-forward, Bismark Charles Kwarena Sie came from the bench to score the winner for CSKA-Sofia against Arda FC Arda 1924 Kardzhali on Wednesday evening.
The 19-year-old Berekum-born striker was a second half substitute as he came on after 61 minutes of action to take the place of Jordy Caicedo.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, Sie lighted up the game with a dazzling display after coming from the bench and was a delight to watch as he caused problems for the defense of Arda who didn’t know how to deal with the young chap.
Five minutes to the end of the pulsating and frenetic encounter, Sie received a beautiful lobbed pass from Amos Youga just inside the box and controlled the ball with his chest nicely to go past his marker before unleashing a superlative strike into the top right corner to win the game and the trophy for the Red and Whites.
FC Arda Kardzhali gave a very good account of themselves and gave CSKA-Sofia a good run for their money throughout the match.
Sie’s goal was enough to win the 2020-21 Bulgarian Cup trophy for CSKA-Sofia.
The Ghanaian has played seven matches in the Bulgarian First Professional League since he joined the Red and Whites and scored a goal in the league before his Cup winning goal against Arda FC Arda 1924 Kardzhali on Wednesday evening.
