Ghanaian striker Michael Sarpong was on target for Young Africans on Sunday when they drew 1-1 with Tanzania Prisons in the first league game of the season.
Sarpong, who joined “Yanga” as a free agent this window netted the equalized for hi side in the 19th minute with a cool finish after Lambert Sabiyanka had given the visitors the lead.
The talented forward was too hot for the opposing defenders to handle with his link-up play and ability to drive the ball forward.
Sarpong is currently one of the big named players in East Africa having previously attained cult status with Rayon Sports in Rwanda where he netted 17 goals in one season.
