Ghanaian forward, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu grabbed his 11th league goal of the season for Estoril Praia SAD in the Portuguese Secunda Liga on Sunday afternoon against UD Vilafranquense.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward played 90 minutes of football before he was substituted and replaced by Andre Clovis for the remaining minutes of the additional time.
The home team took the lead after 31 minutes of the match through Rosier Lorientz with a powerful finish to put the hosts 1-0 up.
Sixty seconds later, Andre Vidigal provided a deft touch to set up the Ghanaian striker who went ahead to apply a sublime finish to make it 2-0 to the Blue and Yellows in quick secession.
Three minutes to the end of the entire duration of the end-to-end and pulsating Harramiz Quieta Ferreira Soares added the third goal to make it 3-1 to secure an important win for the runaway leaders after Rodrigo Rodríguez had reduced the deficit to one on the 72nd-minute mark.
Abdul-Aziz Yakubu has played 23 games in the second tier of the Portuguese league this campaign for Estoril Praia SAD and has 11 goals and two assists.
