Ghana Champions Aduana Stars have been eliminated from the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup after being pipped 2-0 at home by Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas on Sunday.
The visitors, who enjoyed the early dominance in the match, but had to wait until just past the midway point of the first half to claim the lead on the score sheet, with Gbagnon Anicet Badie netting from the penalty spot in the 24th minute.
The Ghanaian Champions failed however kept being wasteful with Elvis Opoku and Caleb Amankwah playing as if they had nothing at stake only for Asec to double their lead through Braciano Ta Bi netting to kick Aduana Stars out of the competition.
Group A will wrap up with two matches on August 29: ASEC will be at home to Vita in Abdijan, while Stars will head to Morocco to face Raja Casablanca.
