Ghana defender Gideon Mensah has expressed joy after Vitória de Guimarães win against CD Nacional on Thursday in the Portuguese top-flight league.
Kenji Gorre shot the visitors ahead after just 16 minutes into the game when he was set up by Larry Azouni before Ricardo Quaresma drew Guimarães in the 22nd minute.
Oscar Estupinan struck in the 51st minute to extend his side’s a 2-1 lead.
In the 61st minute, Lucas Kal hit the back of the net to seal an emphatic 3-1 win for Guimarães at Estadio D. Afonso Henriques.
Mensah, however, was subbed for Zie Ouattara in the 70th-minute mark of the game.
His compatriots Alhassan Wakaso, replaced Oscar Estupinan in the 83rd-minute while Abdul Mumin lasted the entire 90 minutes.
Mensah took to Twitter to express his excitement. ”Great home win yesterday against @CDNacional beating them 3-1. #UNRULY #WeMove #GM14.”
