West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC beat two-time Ghana Premier League winners Aduana Stars at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Wednesday afternoon.
The ‘School Boys whitewashed the Ogya Lads with a commanding 3-1 lead at the end of the first 45 minutes of the match.
Sensational playmaker, Augustine Boakye found the back of the net very early in the game to put the hosts 1-0 up with a sumptuous goal on the 5th minute mark.
Fifteen minutes later, Enock Asubonteng found striker Justus Torsutsey with a delightful pass and the former Hasaacas man slotted home to make it 2-0 to the the Red and Whites outfit.
Ten minutes to the end of the first half, Godwin Agbevor set up Youssifou Atte who finished brilliantly to make it a resounding 3-0 lead for the home team.
In-form attacker, Sam Adams pulled one back for the visitors three minutes from the interval to make it 3-1 at the end of the entertaining opening 45 minutes in Sogakope.
The second half of the match was full of excitement and was evenly balanced compared to the first half.
There were no goals for the home team in the second period of the game as the scored through Flavien Koussi to make the final score 3-2 to the hosts who move 5th on the league table with four matches to end the season.
