West Africa Football Academy inflicted a fourth defeat of the season on league leaders Karela United as the academy side won 3-1 on Wednesday in Sogakope and there was a penalty miss by the home side.
Skipper Abukari Ibrahim failed to score from the spot in the 50th minute when WAFA were awarded a penalty.
Striker Kwame Boateng scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute before goals from playmaker Augustine Boakye and Andrews Ntim in the 20th and 29th minutes put the home side ahead.
