The President of the Ghana Football Association, [GFA] Kurt Okraku, has heaped praises on the Black Satellites team for winning the 2020 WAFU Zone B Championship on Saturday evening.
The Ghana U20 team came from a goal down to snatch a 2-1 victory to emerge as winners of the 2020 WAFU Zone B U-20 champions.
Kouame Jean Fiacre Botue broke the game’s deadlock for the Young Stallions in the 15th minute as he took advantage on a defensive error and hit the ball pass Ghana’s goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad to hand his side an early lead.
Ghana responded swiftly and got back on level terms through captain, Daniel Afriyie Barnie who latched onto a free-kick by Precious Boah and scored in the 40th minute to make it one all before the break.

Hamed Quattara cross hit the woodwork and nearly gave the Young Stallions the lead but the woodwork came to the rescue of the Ghanaians.
In the second half, Precious Boah’s free-kick was somehow ‘controversially awarded as the second goal for Ghana, a decision that was fiercely contested by the Burkinabe players and officials.
Ghana held onto the lead and clinched the WAFU Zone B U-20 trophy with a 2-1 win against its neighbouring country, Burkina Faso
