Black Stars Head Coach Kwesi Appiah, has vehemently stated that he had absolute believe in the Black stars ‘B’ team adding that, the side just ended a little bit of motivation to sparkle.
The stars had their CHAN dream shattered, after losing 2-1 at the Baba Yara stadium when the bookmarkers had already tipped the four time African cup winners to book their ticket to Kenya after an impressive 2-2 draw in Ouagadougou.
Doubts were cast over their ability to defend the WAFU tournament after a controversial 1-0 win over the Gambia.
Maxwell Konadu’s side defied the odds by reaching the grand finale in a sublime fashion with a 2-0 win against Niger and is line to clinch the ultimate against Nigeria, a side the stars lost to in the group games.
The Coach speaking with Angel FM disclosed, he believe in the quality of the local side as he is praying for their victory on Sunday.”
”I had believed the team was good and all that they needed was motivation.” He said
”As usual of Ghana, we don’t start tournaments on a good note but we end well, so what’s needed now is our support and prayers so they can win on Sunday.”
