Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian football star, expressed his fervent desire for the Black Stars to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup, slated to be held in Mexico, USA, and Canada.
The recent hard-fought victory against Mali has injected new life into the Black Stars’ bid for qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In Ghana’s group, the competition remains fiercely contested, with all teams standing on equal footing after three rounds of matches. Currently, the four-time Africa champions find themselves level on points with Madagascar and Comoros, with six points each.
Mali and the Central African Republic closely trail behind, both accumulating four points, while Chad languishes at the bottom of the group with no points to their name.
In a recent interview, Mohammed Kudus, who represents West Ham United, reiterated the team’s unwavering determination to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup. He emphasized the shared goal among the players and stressed the importance of achieving success, regardless of the challenges encountered on the field.
“The belief has always been there; we all want to go to the World Cup, that is our ultimate goal. It doesn’t matter how we achieve it. Our coach has his tactics, but sometimes the game gets tougher, and we just have to give our best and get the results,” Kudus affirmed.
With anticipation mounting, Kudus is expected to play a pivotal role for the Black Stars as they gear up to face the Central African Republic in matchday four of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
