Ghana international, Alexander Djiku has emphasised that playing in front of the fans will be a great pleasure after not being able to do so due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The French league is bound for a return over the weekend following the end of the pre-season, with clubs set to play in front of their fans once again.
Djiku, who was one of the best players for Racing Strasbourg last season was faced with press conference duties early on Friday, where he revealed what it means to be with the fans once again.
“It’s a pleasure to be able to find this audience again,” the central defender said.
“We can’t wait to play them again in a full stadium. We saw that last year, without them, we had more trouble.”
Strasbourg will face Angers in their opening game of the 2021/22 league campaign.
