Ibrahim Tanko has made it clear that Medeama remain firmly focused on their own ambitions, insisting that his side is not distracted by results elsewhere in the Ghana Premier League.

The Medeama head coach was reacting after secured a win over — a result that has sparked conversations about the title race.

Despite the outcome, Tanko maintained a calm and confident stance, emphasizing that his team’s position at the top of the table remains unchanged.

“We are still the league leaders, we are not looking elsewhere.”

His comments reflect a manager determined to keep his players grounded and focused on their own performances rather than being swayed by competitors’ results.

Medeama have enjoyed a strong campaign so far, showing consistency and resilience in key matches. Tanko’s approach suggests that the club’s strategy is built around internal focus, discipline, and maintaining momentum rather than monitoring rivals.

The victory for Bibiani Gold Stars over Hearts of Oak may have intensified the title conversation, but Tanko’s message is clear — Medeama’s destiny lies in their own hands.

As the Ghana Premier League season progresses, pressure is expected to mount, especially with several clubs pushing for top honours. However, the Medeama boss appears confident that staying concentrated on their own performances will be the key to sustaining their lead.

With crucial fixtures ahead, Tanko’s words serve as a reminder that leadership in a title race requires composure as much as quality on the pitch.
