Legon Cities head coach Bashir has reacted to his side’s vital away win against Ashantigold SC.
Issaka Mohammed scored the only goal as the Royals defeated the Miners by 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium during Week 27 of the Ghana Premier League.
“We fought hard for the win. It wasn’t easy at all but the boys showed more determination and hunger. We knew this will be a difficult game because AshantiGold SC lost their last game and so we prepared in every aspect to make sure we return to Accra with the victory,” Bashir Hayford said after the game.
”The defending from the team was great. I love their reaction without the ball. We hope to continue this our run.”
The win takes Cities into the Top 10 teams on the league table with 35 points as the team coached by Bashiru Hayford continues to move out of the danger zone with seven matches remaining to close the season.
The Miners who have 34 points thus drop to 10th below Legon Cities on the league table after seeing a home reverse for the second time this season following the Liberty defeat.
