Club Industriel de Kamsar defender, Amos Frimpong had warned that the club will have to be well-disciplined if they are to stand a chance of beating Accra Hearts of Oak in the CAF Champions League.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain sealed a move to the Guinean side earlier this month and is set to be included in the club’s squad for the Africa.
The Ghana Premier League side were paired against Club Industriel de Kamsar for the preliminary round of the Champions League, and Amos Frimpong has issued a warning to his new side.
He said to Hello FM in an interview: “Currently, any team preparing to play against Hearts Of Oak needs to work extra hard. This is because everything is on the rise in the club. The players are very confident.
“I recall that during my time with Eleven Wonders Hearts picked the necessary three points but we(Wonders) played a determined game on that day.
“I watched their games against Medeama and AshantiGold in the MTN FA Cup and based on what I saw I believe it will take discipline and a hard-working team to defeat Hearts Of Oak in 90 minutes.”
However, the right-back has not ruled out any possibility if his side progressing at the expense of the Rainbow club.
“But everything is possible in this world so Hearts are beatable,” Frimpong added.
“I have trained with my new team and I can say that they have quality players to compete or match Hearts Of Oak boot for boot.
“We are preparing very well and I know that after the two legs my club will progress to the next stage.
“Honestly, I can’t single out one player in the team because they have an all-round team. We will have to match them closely to win.”
