Egypt Filgoal TV Journalist Amir Abd Elhalim says the current rift between the Ghanaian Sports ministry and the Ghana Football Association is to the advantage of the pharaoh’s head of the 2018 world qualifiers.
Ghana were pitted in a tricky Group E with Congo, Uganda and Egypt in the race to Russia.
The Blackstars face a tough competition from their Egyptian opponent as the two are favorites to fight for the sole ticket to the Mundial.
The Egyptian sports journalist believes the Maghrebian nation can qualify ahead of the West African country.
“Egypt has a very good team with Mohammed Salah and others playing aboard, “he told Spice Fm in an interview.
“The technical team have started scouting on the Ghanaian team and the current matches they have played.”
“We (Egypt) believe that beating Uganda and Congo in back to back games and a win over Ghana at Cairo can qualify us for the world cup 2018.”
“The current problems between the FA and Sports ministry can also play to our (Egypt) advantage.”
The third round qualifiers run between October this year and November 2017.
