Black Satellites Assistant Coach Augustine Evans Adotey has said that his side will map up a strategy to deal with Niger in their Tuesday WAFU U-20 Cup of Nations semi-final clash.
The Ghanaian team will be hoping to record victory against their Nigerien counterparts this afternoon to book qualification to the grand finale stage of the competition.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s clash, the former Black Maidens coach indicated that the technical department of the team have critically assessed their opponents’ team and will map strategy a strategy to deal with them.
”Immediately after the game yesterday, the Technical Director booked an appointment with me together with the Head Coach (Karim Zito) to brief us on how Niger play. This morning, we had a meeting and he gave us tips about Niger’s style of play,” Adortey told Ghanafa.org.
He added ”He talked us through their style of play, the dangerous players, those with height, how they play, so he encouraged us to map strategy that will see us go pass them come Tuesday. So we will come up with a plan to deal with them and hopefully, we make it to the final.”
He also spoke about the return of Precious Boah who missed the team’s 1-0 defeat to Ivory Coast and what he brings on board against Benin.
”Boah’s absence was felt in the last match and it was a clear picture. Abanga played yesterday which is his first international match so you saw there was lots of lapses in his play. Boah has played for a long time and so if he had played yesterday, he would have made a difference.”
