Ghana and Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has been a target for West Ham and Turkish side Galatasaray .
The former Udinese man have had a limited game time this season and was an unused substitute in Cardiff as Juventus were beaten by rampant Real Madrid in the champions league final.
The Hammers may lose out to Galatasaray because of a difference of 2.5 million euros in valuation for the player according to greenstreethammers.com.
Asamoah can play every position along the left side of the field as well as central and defensive midfield and would be a wonderful addition to the club.
One of the things that the side struggle with the most is when players are injured or the squad needs to be rotated because of fixture pile up they have few utility players. Players with the intelligence and adaptability to influence a game from multiple positions.
West Ham already value the Ghanian at 10.5 million euros. There is no reason why they can’t add on the extra 2.5 to see the deal done.
Asamoah brings with him a high level of intelligence and professionalism from his time in Serie A with Juventus and Udinese. He is also a national team teammate of the club’s very own Andre Ayew who could help him settle in at the club. The Irons should make this signing with ease in the coming days rather than lose out to Galatasaray for a player who could help the club in their attempt to climb up the table next season.
As well as Galatasaray Southampton are rumored to be interested. It would be in West Ham’s best interest to try to get the deal done as fast as is humanly possible and avoid a drawn out and expensive transfer saga. Asamoah is a good player in the prime of his career and would bring up the general talent level at the club extremely. The Hammers need a deeper and more talented squad if they are going to start achieving the goals that the grandeur of the London Stadium demands.
